The Royal Lahaina Resort's beautiful oceanfront setting lends itself well to intimate events and gatherings. In 2011, we hosted several concerts including Five for Fighting, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Spin Doctors and Henry Kapono. Additionally, we also hosted a Mai Tai Mix-off event to search for Maui's top bartender to send to the Royal Kona Resort's 3rd Annual Don the Beachcomber Mai Tai Festival.

• Whale Watching Season: From December to early May - Humpback whales migrate to the warm waters of Hawaii annually from December to early May. Whale watching tours let you see the whales from as close as 100 yards, or watch from the beach at the Royal Lahaina Resort. The calm, clear waters of Maui afford some of the best views of the whales.
• Maui Film Festival: June 13-17, 2012 - Held at Wailea Resort and at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului this five-day event boasts celebrity appearances, special events, and screens independent films. Some of the evening film screenings take place at the Cinema Under the Stars on the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course. Special film festival passes available online at the Maui Film Festival website.
• Maui Marathon: September 16, 2012 - Celebrating its 42nd year, the Maui Marathon is one of the ten most scenic marathons in the US.
