Jetting off to Hawaii on holiday is a tropical treatany time of year, but as with most popular vacation destinations in the Northern Hemisphere, summertime is peak tourist season. Kids areout of school, honeymooners are fresh off their June weddings, and if most of the nation is sweltering anyway,why not bake in a plumeria-scented paradise where sunscreen is needed, but a passport isn’t?

With spring in the air, now is a great time to think about summer — as in a much-needed vacation.
