Located on world-renowned Ka’anapali Beach, the iconic resort unfolds across 27 acres of sun-kissed, tropical gardens and offers an island-inspired ambiance in a regal, beachy and timeless setting. Royal Lahaina was one of Maui’s first resorts and it’s now under new ownership and management with a refreshed brand identity and updated guest experience that ushers in a new era for the evolving locale.

Set on one of the world’s most famous beaches once frequented by Hawaiian royalty, this classic oceanfront paradise has been independent and locally owned since 1962—and remains that way today. The storied beachfront property features an open-air restaurant, two oceanfront swimming pools with cabanas, beach activities center, fitness center, spa, tennis courts and more. The Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant & Lounge is a must-visit laid-back spot to sip craft cocktails and dine on locally sourced, farm to table cuisine while soaking in epic sunsets with full views of the Lanai and Molokai islands. Rates start at $359 per night.

Highlights:

  • Oceanfront Accommodations & Private Bungalows: Accommodations across the spacious resort include the Lahaina Kai Tower, offering well-appointed rooms and suites overlooking the ocean, as well as private beachfront bungalows with lanais descending to expansive lawns. The bungalows are in the process of a complete renovation and transformation that will be unveiled in 2023, featuring island-inspired retro chic furniture and décor, renovated showers and vanity areas, new lanai decks, patio furniture and more.
  • Kiawe Outdoor Under The Branches: The resort has newly partnered with Kiawe Outdoor for a unique communal, alfresco dining experience set under its legendary 100-year-old rubber tree with 75-foot canopy. This twice weekly culinary journey supports farmers and purveyors in the surrounding area and features a fresh, locally sourced menu cooked over open fire. The immersive culinary experience includes a celebratory sabering of champagne, appetizers and five-course prix-fixe dinner with wine and cocktail pairings.
